Relief For Dry Eyes
Computer usage is hard on our eyes. If you sit at your computer for any length of time you will often find yourself feeling my eyes are dry. I found these valuable tips in an article from our local paper on how to have healthy eyes.
Readjust your computer so that your eyes look down. Looking down on the screen helps eliminate glare. Adjust the brightness and contrast to increase readability.
Refocus your eyes on something far away for about 30 seconds every 15 minutes.
Remove your whole body from your workstation now and then. Golden rule for computer usage: Take at least one 10 minute walk every 90 minutes. Walking will help your spine, wrists and circulation.
Also, when you look at your computer screen you do not usually widen your eyes. It is more likely that you are squinting. Appparently, you use the same muscles to squint as you do to blink. So when you are looking at your computer screen you are not blinking normally and your eyes are getting their needed moisture
